London Festival Fringe 2010 and Beyond
August is when the world's greatest generator of Fringe meets the world's greatest audience. The month when visitors from all over the world converge on the world's capital of the arts.
London is the world's greatest Art generator
- largest number of venues/spaces, including theatres, pub and fringe venues, galleries, cinemas, exhibition areas, street sites, etc.
- there are more artists and performers living and working in the city than anywhere else
The London Awards for Art and Performance

London is the major Art Capital of the world and these awards and associated competitions bring together and celebrate the many artists and performers who live and work and visit this city.

Here are the competitions scheduled to take place. Together they recognise artists at the forefront of their art.

We are connecting artists/performers/promoters to venues
The website presents artists and performers shows, and provides ticketing for all events throughout the year.
Artists and performers submit show proposals on-site, and the information from these, along with contact details, are circulated every two weeks to all venues/promoters in the Fringe. Once, shows have been confirmed with venues, artists/performers can add their events online and sell tickets. They will be listed on the front page and on the event calendar.
We have a team of people working on the London Festival Fringe in various ways, from fundraising and sponsorship to design and promotion.
The Marketing and Press Campaign is happening now
The work we do in the remaining months will be to promote the London Festival Fringe 2010, including all shows and venues.
BBC London TV footage here: http://www.londonfestivalfringe.com/promos/fringebbctv.php
It started on November 24, 2009, with the Times, and commentary by Marcus Linklater. Then the London Evening Standard and the Guardian (good conversation thread). BBC Radio 2's Sarah Kennedy picked up on The Times' piece, as did The Scotsman, Time Out, and the Stage. BBC London TV came along and did interviews at the Phoenix Artists Club, and BBC Radio London and LBC did a live morning interview.
Sponsorships and Advertising
We are looking for sponsors for the London Awards. Advertising space is available on-site.
Special Edition 2012
The London Festival Fringe will be a unique event that grows each year and will cater to both Londoners and visitors. During the London Olympics, London Festival Fringe will present a special edition as the Cultural Olympiad Fringe 2012.
The promotion we do here in London for shows and venues work for those shows and venues for the rest of the year
Promoting venues and shows in the build-up to the London Festival Fringe and during the event, will remain with the audience for some time after, because it will be directed to and seen by people who live and work in the city.
We are a 'green' Festival - as in 'paper costs trees'.
Please note, we do not print programs. They have to be designed, printed and distributed and that will takes a lot of money.
It's probably not worth it, anyway, in these days of easy web access on both desktop and mobile phones - go to http://londonfestivalfringe.com/showsandevents/ on your mobile phone and you'll see.
We'll have every event listed on the front page of the website as it is now because that promotes your event.
LondonFestivalFringe.com is a focus for all activities leading up to and during the event
There is much activity already on-site, including an event and venue list that work throughout the year, blog, Facebook and Twitter accounts and Flickr photographs. The Facebook page has 534 members, and the Twitter account has nearly 525 followers.
London Fringe site stats: Now over 3000 page views per week (rolling).

London Fringe Club at the Phoenix Artists Bar, Soho
This meets every two weeks on a Tuesday evening, and is a great success. It is open to all artists and performers, as well as people in the business of art and entertainment.
We ran the London Bridge Festival successfully in July 2009
There were almost 200 events, over 15 days, in around 30 venues, with hundreds of participants. And we presented 5 London Awards in Music, New Comedy, Short Fiction, 48 Hour Short Film, and Photography.
| The first Fringe artist in the world lived and worked in London .. William Blake, 1757 -1827 | |
| Blake was a romantic, a poet, an artist, an innovator. He challenged and went beyond the ideas of his time, and continues to inspire and influence countless others to this day. He only went out of London once in his life, to Felpham (spelt right).
