London is the world's art capital, and the London Fringe is all the art and performance that goes on in this city throughout the year that is not in the main venues. There are thousands of artists and performers who live, work in and visit London and who do wonderful events and performances in the London Fringe.
We provide marketing and publicity and an infrastructure to make it easy for artists and performers to put on events, get audiences and sell tickets.
The London Fringe is the best all year training ground there is, giving artists and performers and opportunity to develop and show their skills.
What is the London Festival Fringe?
The London Festival Fringe is a coming together and celebration of all this artistic activity in August. It's when the London Awards are presented.
How can I take part?
The Fringe and Festival is open-access and anyone can put on an event. There are also opportunities for buskers and street performers to participate in our street events and one-off gigs throughout the year and in the Festival in August.
You can submit a show or event here.
Please note the Festival Fringe organisation does not book acts or shows but helps the Fringe in London throughout the year and facilitates the Festival in August.
Why should I come to the Festival Fringe?
London is the major Art Capital of the world and probably the most exciting city to be in in August. There is an enormous amount of art and performance taking place.
For visitors who come to the city there is shopping in the daytime, long summer evenings walking along the embankment, hundreds of great restaurants, and entertainment everywhere.
For artists and performers there are many, many venues where shows and events take place.
Promoters, Venue Managers, Agents, Arts Business People
The Festival Fringe is also a place and time for you to connect with other people in the world of art and entertainment.
We've set up two central London professional hubs for artists, performers, promoters, managers, and others in the business of art and entertainment, to make contacts and discuss business. FringeCentral is the Phoenix Artists Club in the heart of Soho, and FringeRiver is the New Players Theatre, near Trafalgar Square, and they're within walking distance of each other.
We will help promoters, venue programmers, festival directors, to find the act and shows they are looking for from within the London Fringe.
How much will it cost?
If you an artist or performer living in London, it will be a lot easier and cheaper to put on a show or performance where you live and work.
Because there are many venues in London, if you are visiting, it will also be reasonably inexpensive to put on a show.
Can I bring a show from overseas?
This is an international festival and welcomes overseas performers. If you are a citizen from outside the European Economic Area, you may need a visa to enter the UK. However, this year, we simply do not have resources to provide you with information on arranging visas. Please get in touch with your embassy or consulate in London.
