Although drawing on the Latin poet Catallus’ bawdy style, Tiffany’s protagonist in Catulla is a more modern and open-minded female character. Also a literary critic, Atkinson lectures in Creative Writing and Literary Studies at the University of Aberystwyth. Earlier on in her career, Tiffany won the BBC Radio Young Poet of the Year twice in a row, and took first prize in the Academi Cardiff International Poetry Competition ten years ago with Photo from Belfast. Tiffany has lived in Wales ever since completing her PhD at Cardiff University.
