Danny and The Deep Blue Sea
Danny and The Deep Blue Sea is a ripping drama that will keep the audience on the edge of its seat from start to finish. A genuinley electricifying and touching show with no gimicks, just two raw actors braving their emotional limits.

" A tale of love, loss, hope and passion"

The setting is a rundown bar in the Bronx, where two lonely misfits, Danny and Roberta, strike up a halting conversation over their beer.

He is brooding, self-loathing and possibly homicidal; she is tormented, guilt-ridden and possibly suicidal. Danny, "the animal", seems incapable of tender emotion, while Roberta, an alcoholic, is distrustful of men in general.

And from the second they start talking, its a prize fight with a ringside view! Both are combative and deliver eachother a barrage of lightening-quick verbal jabs and a sequence of knockout psychological punches.

Yet, despite this initial tough reserve, a touching tenderness emerges between them.

Thanks to the playwright's skill and brutal honesty, both characters are forced to probe within themselves to find an exorcism for their loneliness, and perhaps even some self-forgiveness albeit painfully achieved.

Danny And The Deep Blue Sea could almost be described as a brutal fairy tale; a Bronx variation on Beauty and The Beast

- and the theatrical equivalent of a shot of ouzo!!
